Social Initiatives

A unique project of Amity Humanity Foundation is Amitasha, a chain of schools for the underprivileged girl child that was started in 1999 and is a dream project of Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, the Chairperson of Amity International Schools.
Over 1,000 girls in the age group of 5-11 are envisioning a better future through Amitasha wherein their education, nutrition, health and personality development are taken care of. Starting from Nursery, these girls remain with Amitasha till class VII. Students who display extraordinary potential and interest are encouraged to study further at the other Amity institutions. At Amitasha, apart from academics, the girls are also given vocational training so that, tomorrow they have the ability to become economically independent.
